Basic Requirements for an SEM Intern

Education & Experience:
- Fresher or 0-1 year of experience in SEM, PPC, or digital marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Basic SEM & PPC Knowledge:
- Understanding of Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising.
- Familiarity with search, display, shopping, and video ads.

Keyword Research & Campaign Setup:
- Basic knowledge of Google Keyword Planner and how to find relevant keywords.
- Understanding of match types (Broad, Phrase, Exact) and negative keywords.

Ad Copywriting & Optimization:
- Ability to write compelling and high-converting ad copies.
- Basic understanding of ad extensions, A/B testing, and CTR improvement techniques.

Budgeting & Bidding Strategies:
- Understanding of CPC, CPA, ROAS, and bid adjustments.
- Familiarity with manual and automated bidding strategies.

Google Ads & Analytics Tools:
- Basic knowledge of Google Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
- Understanding of UTM tracking and conversion tracking setup.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Ability to track CTR, CPC, Conversion Rate, Quality Score.
- Experience with Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.

Passion for Digital Advertising:
- Willingness to learn and stay updated with Google Ads policies and SEM trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
