Basic Requirements for an SEM Intern

  1. Education & Experience:

    • Fresher or 0-1 year of experience in SEM, PPC, or digital marketing.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  2. Basic SEM & PPC Knowledge:

    • Understanding of Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising.
    • Familiarity with search, display, shopping, and video ads.
  3. Keyword Research & Campaign Setup:

    • Basic knowledge of Google Keyword Planner and how to find relevant keywords.
    • Understanding of match types (Broad, Phrase, Exact) and negative keywords.
  4. Ad Copywriting & Optimization:

    • Ability to write compelling and high-converting ad copies.
    • Basic understanding of ad extensions, A/B testing, and CTR improvement techniques.
  5. Budgeting & Bidding Strategies:

    • Understanding of CPC, CPA, ROAS, and bid adjustments.
    • Familiarity with manual and automated bidding strategies.
  6. Google Ads & Analytics Tools:

    • Basic knowledge of Google Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
    • Understanding of UTM tracking and conversion tracking setup.
  7. Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Ability to track CTR, CPC, Conversion Rate, Quality Score.
    • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  8. Passion for Digital Advertising:

    • Willingness to learn and stay updated with Google Ads policies and SEM trends.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
